Headpats

Their daughter gets a headpat for her drawing, so Aoi draws something too.

Drawn, not posted yet

  1. Kai’s daughter holds up a crayon drawing: “I drew our family!”
  2. Kai pats her head and she beams: “It’s amazing. Good job.”
  3. Behind the sofa, Aoi grabs a crayon with a determined face.
  4. Aoi holds up her own drawing, chin up, expecting praise: “I drew too.”
  5. Her drawing: a wobbly stick figure of Kai with a scribble for hair.
  6. Kai stares at it, smile frozen: “It’s… very… you.”
  7. Aoi leans her head toward him, eyes closed: “Headpat.”
  8. Kai pats her head, blushing, and Aoi melts, with a little heart.
  9. Their daughter looks at her mom’s drawing, then at her dad: “Daddy…”
  10. She points at the drawing, deadpan, while Aoi gasps and Kai bursts out laughing: “Mommy drew you ugly.”

The end.
