Braids

Kai tries to braid his daughter’s hair. Then Aoi asks for one too.

Drawn, not posted yet

  1. Kai’s daughter holds up a hair tie on the sofa: “Daddy, braid please!”
  2. Kai starts on her long hair, confident: “Easy. Watch this.”
  3. The result is a lumpy braid sticking out sideways. She looks at it in a hand mirror, flat-faced: “…”
  4. Behind the sofa, Aoi watches with a pout: “Hmph.”
  5. Aoi sits beside Kai, turns her back and offers him her hair: “Mine next.”
  6. Kai, blushing, holds a strand of her hair very carefully: “Y-yours?”
  7. A quiet close-up: Kai braids Aoi’s hair slowly while she smiles with her eyes closed.
  8. Aoi’s braid is perfect and she glows: “Mhm~ Perfect.” Kai looks away, red-faced.
  9. Their daughter points at her messy braid, cheeks puffed: “DADDY!!”
  10. Kai holds his hands up while Aoi giggles. Their daughter: “Why is Mommy’s prettier?!”

The end.
