  • Initial release.
  • Roto Brush separates a subject from the background and carries the matte from frame to frame. In Settings ▸ Roto Brush you can switch to MobileSAM, which is downloaded when you ask and runs on your Mac.
  • Face tracking keys a mask to a face, or keys every eye, brow and mouth point into the layer. MediaPipe Face Landmarker is available as its trained model.
  • Project, Composition, Timeline and Effect Controls panels laid out the way After Effects lays them out, with the Graph Editor, expressions, 306 effects and layer styles, and 3D layers with cameras and lights.
  • Render H.264, HEVC, ProRes with alpha or WebM, or export Lottie, with no FFmpeg to install.
  • Every action is a command, open to the bay-effects command-line tool and an MCP server, so an agent can build a composition in the open project. One disk image for Apple silicon and Intel Macs, with Bay Effects and its tool inside.
